Privacy Policy

SetLift ("we", "our", or "us") is a workout tracking app built for iOS. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is handled.

1. Data You Create

SetLift stores the following data you enter in the app:

Workout sessions, exercises, sets, reps, and weights
Workout templates and routines
Bodyweight entries and weight goals
Personal records (PRs)
App settings and preferences

By default, all of this data is stored locally on your device using an encrypted SQLite database. It never leaves your device unless you choose to enable SetLift Sync (see below).

2. Account and SetLift Sync

SetLift Sync is an optional paid feature. If you choose to enable it, you create an account using either your email address or Sign in with Apple. Your workout data is then synced to Google Firebase (Firestore), a cloud database service operated by Google LLC.

We use your account solely to associate your data with your identity for sync purposes. We do not use your email for marketing.

If you do not create an account, no personal information is collected or transmitted by us.

3. Third-Party Services

SetLift uses the following third-party services:

Google Firebase — cloud storage and authentication for SetLift Sync users. Data is stored in the United States. Firebase Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat — processes in-app purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect your device ID and purchase history. RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Apple Sign In — if you choose this login method, Apple handles authentication. SetLift only receives your Apple-assigned user ID and, on first sign-in, your name if you choose to share it.

We do not use advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or any other tracking services.

4. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not track your location
We do not collect device identifiers for advertising
We do not share or sell your data to third parties
We do not use your data to train machine learning models

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Your local data remains on your device until you delete the app or use the "Clear All Data" option in the app's settings.

If you have a SetLift Sync account, you can delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time from Settings → SetLift Sync → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

6. Data Export

You can export a full backup of your workout data in JSON format at any time from the Data section in the app. You own your data.

7. Children's Privacy

SetLift is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
